Question... how do you start planning out how to fill a room. I believe every new room is like a blank canvas, boring! That is until you bring in some color and some of the things that make the room feel happy and inspirational! So of course we started planning our new home by figuring out the colors we wanted to paint it.
Many apartment complexes frown on painting the walls, ours doesn't mind if they can cover the paint with one coat of white. And since I absolutely hate plain white walls...the fun began. We decided to paint our living area a sandy tan color.
This one is called Renwick Rose/Beige. This color will be in our entryway/living room/dining room/hallway/ and possibly the kitchen.
The next room we discussed was the bathroom. I feel that the bathroom should be a place for all the dirt and stress from the day to go down the drain (proverbial or not). So, the bathroom needs to be relaxing.
This is the color we want to paint the bathroom walls. I was also thinking about some possible purple accents through out. Walmart carries towels, washcloths and such, in my FAVORITE color purple. Not sure what I want to do with the rest of it just yet, but I still have some time.
My husband and I are still arguing about the color of our bedroom. I want a turquoise color and he wants a dark blue (yuck). Our current comforter set is purple, not really sure about how to go from there, especially since he really doesn't want purple walls. If all else fails... I guess we go back to the tan. : /
